The Woodlands: two finished yards, a year apart

Two Woodlands yards, photographed a year apart, sit side by side on this page. The first pairs a geometric pool with a raised stacked-stone wall and spa, grey concrete pavers running up to the stone coping and black wicker loungers at the water's edge. The second wraps its square raised spa in blue-and-white patterned tile, sets a pergola lounge at the far end and keeps the tall pines standing along the fence line. They are two of the three Woodlands yards in our archive.

What does the build process look like?

Every job follows the same eight stages in the same order: excavation, steel and rebar, plumbing, gunite, tile and coping, decking, plaster, and fill and startup. The whole sequence is filmed on a real job and plays on our homepage, date-stamped frame by frame.
