The sequence

From dirt to water, in order

Every custom pool follows the same order for a reason — skip a stage and the next one fails. Here's what actually happens, start to finish.

  1. Excavation

    Equipment cuts the pool's exact shape and depth into your yard.

  2. Steel & rebar

    A steel grid is tied by hand — the skeleton that gives the shell its strength.

  3. Plumbing

    Lines for circulation, returns, and drains go in before a single wall exists.

  4. Gunite

    Concrete is sprayed over the steel under pressure and shaped into the shell by hand.

  5. Tile & coping

    The waterline tile goes in, then the coping — the stone edge you'll actually stand on.

  6. Decking

    The surface around the pool is poured and finished to match the house, not just the pool.

  7. Plaster

    The interior finish goes on last — the surface your feet will actually feel.

  8. Fill & startup

    The pool fills, the equipment gets balanced and tested, and the keys hand over.
